How Can Pain In The Right Thigh Be Treated?

Upper thigh pain near groin right leg. Pain not continuous just comes & goes all day. Pain lasts for a few seconds. I am a 62 yr old grandmother that babysits a 2 yr old & 2 1/2 yr old. Could lifting my babies cause me to pull/strain something? Taking ibuprofen but not a lot of relief. What do you recommend ?
