How Can Pain In The Lower Leg Be Treated?

How long after symptoms start does it take get back normal and what can I do to help that. Worse at night. Using Tylenol at night. Without much relief. Only med I can use. Pain in lower left leg, left side knee, left hip little, coccyx areas since Tuesday. Dr calls it muscle skeletal problem after carrying too heavy load On Sunday.

Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. As you have consulted a Doctor in whose opinion it is a musculoskeletal problem, thus I'm of the following opinion [since unable to examine you directly]:

i. If I was your attending physician then instead of prescribing any medicines first I would have asked you to get an appointment with an Orthopedic surgeon regarding your symptoms since

i. hip discomfort could be because of hip osteoarthritis, AVN [avascular necrosis]
ii. whereas pain/ discomfort in calf area could be due to DVT [deep vein thrombosis], PVD [peripheral vascular disorder] or simply because of cramps in calf [due to diabetes, calcium/salt deficiency]

2. The symptoms have to be carefully assessed by your doctor to ensure that whether it requires immediate medical attention or long-term therapy. [seek vascular surgeon opinion or visit ER]
