How Can Pain And Swelling On The Right Leg Be Treated?

My right foot rolled off a 2 inch out door rug, there was a hematoma, pain to walk on it but I could walk. I started heat and ice packs off and on with ibuprofin....next day swelling and bruising that spread over the toes and along posterior foot.. I kept heat and ice on most of day.. I kept elevated most of the day..today is day 3 and there was more bruising darker in color but swelling down...still pain to walk ..the pain remains on the posterior side of right foot....hurts to bend as in walking but I can walk. Wondering if it was broke could I be doing all this walking without excruciating pain? I have also taken ibuprofin each day to reduce swelling.
