How Can Pain And Burning Sensation In The Eyes After Wearing Contact Lenses Be Treated?
When I first open a new pair of contacts, the first day wearing them is fine. However, the next day after i have soaked them in saline solution they burn and my eyes look bloodshot within seconds. I take proper care of them and i always have. This issue has been occurring with me for the past several months and it is quite bothersome. I have tried different solutions and nothing is working. The pain is unbearable and I haven t been able to wear them for a long time.
See whether the lenses are put in the proper solution. When used for a long time give rise to dry eye problem. So intermittently it should be removed. Apply eye teardrop. Your eye should be examined by an eye doctor and found out if there is corneal abrasion, in that case, Neosporin eye ointment can be applied. The doctor also can check the lenses and see if the preservative solution is alright in which the lenses are kept.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
