I have a 5 year old who was just diagnosed with autism. He has been reading since he was 2. Self taught. He s interested in music, geography, garbage trucks, Paw Patrol, Mickey Mouse and many other things. He knows his ABCs and he can count and do puzzles. He enjoys telling others about things he s interested in. He doesn t like art projects and he doesn t play well with kids his own age unless he knows them well. Then he s fine. How can he be autistic?

Hi there. My son who is now nearly 8 (in July) has always complained of noises in his head from the age of 5. He describes it as shouting, especially contributed to loud external noises, but even a quiet times. It s still difficult for him to explain but I think he gets shouting in his head most days, school seems to be getting worse. He is diagnosed with SPD Semantic Pragmatic Disorder (on a very low scale) you wouldn t know he has autism except social awareness, ability to conform and challenges authority ... have you come accross this?
