These symptoms , mentioned by you in your query are due to allergic
bronchitis and call it as rhinitis or
allergic rhinitis and this is a precursor of asthmatic allergic bronchitis .
Dust , mite , fungus , mold , pollen ,sudden fall and rise of temperature ,
smoking , pests are certain predisposing factors for such symptoms .
These measure may help you:
House dust mites
-major allergens found in houses
-Use allergen-impermeable covers for mattresses 7 pillows
-Wash sheets & blankets in hot water ( 60 degree C )
-Vacuum-clean beds each week
-Clean furniture in the bedroom w/damp rags.
Pollen
-Avoid going out of doors on days when pollen counts are high ( very difficult but important )
-Use of airconditioning
-Keep doors and windows closed at home & when inside cars
Pets
-Don't allow animals in the house
-If this is not possible , exclude pets from bedroom or keep out of the doors.
Others-Discourage smoking by others, visitors
-Minimize contacts w/irritant eg, perfumes, hairs sprays , 7 other odors.
When such patient visit I advise my patient to take montelukat+
fexofenadine tablet once or twice in day .
But if breathlessness accompany I advise my patient to take montelukast= bambuterol , once or twice in day . Hot coffee and steam inhalation also provide relief.
