How can muscle cramps in the legs be treated?

I ve been having trouble with my legs for about 4-6 months. Its more muscular than pain. My muscles are so still that I have to lift my leg to get into my car and it s hard for me to stand from a sitting position. I m a 45 yo female. Many times it feels like the day after working out at the gym; however, I have not been. I am fairly healthy, no smoking, minimum drinking - although, I am in recovery. Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks so much.

Hello! Welcome to HCM!

Muscle cramps can have multiple causes of origin. As an intial mode of treatment you may take muscle relaxants+analgesic combination ( Flexon MR 1 tablet twice daily after meals with Pantoprazole 40mg once daily befor meal) to relieve your symptoms. Also ensure you drink adequate water to keep yourself hydrated (the rule of thumb is to have 8 glasses of 8 ounce each at least per day). Do you take any other medications? Do you have any associated knee pain? Also I would like to advice you to get your serum sodium and potassium levels measured.

Take care
