How Can Mesenteric Panniculitis Be Treated?

I Have mesentric panniculitis and think my next visit to the consultant he will prescribe steroids. I would like to try a natural remedy first through diet. I have heard turmeric supplements are good and just wondered if you have any dietry advice. Obviously if I have to go on steroids I will but as a last resort. Thanks for any advice.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Mesenteric panniculitis is an inflammatory condition. Natural remedies like turmeric can help reduce inflammation. However, there is no evidence that the natural remedies will provide good results in treating the condition. So please be advised to start Prednisone to avoid complications.

Dr. Lekshmi
