How Can Menopausal Syndrome Be Treated?

I am 55 yrs. old, going through menopause & I am having a terrible time. I am moody, very depressed, anxious all the time, easily startled, cannot sleep, up & down all night. I have tried over the counter medications without relief. I wake up tired & go to bed tired. Do you think Trintellix might help some of my many symptoms?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Some advices that I can give to you are:
• A healthy diet.
• Regular exercise program will go a long way toward minimizing the symptoms of menopause and helping to maintain overall good health.
• Quit smoking or drinking too much alcohol.
• Dress lightly and in layers.
• Avoid potential triggers like caffeine and spicy foods.
• For vaginal dryness, moisturizers and non-estrogen lubricants are available.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
