Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I took generic Entocort for several years for lymphocytic colitis; not only was it not a cure, I began having side effects so my physician changed my med to Lialda which I have been taking for about three weeks. My symptoms persist and I am wondering if I can add diphenoxylate/atropine to the Lialda? Thank you!
There are no known interactions between these medications, lialda and diphenoxylat/atrophine.
They can be used safely together according to medscape drug interaction checker.
It is possible that there may be interactions with other medications so if you are using any other traditional or herbal meds, they should also be checked.
I hope this helps
