How Can Lupus Be Treated?

I have mild lupus and having a flare up this evening with a lot of pain, butterfly rash etc. I took a 5mg of Prednisone to try and help with this inflammation and now I am wondering if I should skip my evening dose of Celebrex? (I need to talk to my Rheumatologist about this when I next see him, but for this evening, I wonder what to do. Thank you for your consideration.

You should consider to take antimalaric agents like Plaquenil( Hydroxychloroquine) 200 mg, especially for the skin conditions like the butterfly rush. Try to avoid sunlight exposure and everytime use sunlight cream protector with high SPF 30-50. You should consider also taking 2-3 prednisons till the situation is stabilized than lowering the dose to 5 mg in the morning.
