In all probability you are having Sciatica, that is due to compression of the sciatic nerve at the lumbar spine. An MRI of the lumbar spine must be taken. This will show any lumbar disc prolapse and nerve compression. A nerve conduction test could also be helpful in the assessment of nervy damage. Since the symptoms you are having is marked, the Orthopedic surgeon may suggest a minimal access surgery to remove the prolapsed disc and relieve nerve compression.
