How Can Low Blood Pressure Be Treated?

Hi. I always have low blood pressure and I am always pale. I easily get tired. The worst blood pressure reading I had was both the diastolic and systolic reading were below 60. I forgot the actual reading but it was sort of like 59/56. What should I do? Whenever I go to the hospital or clinic they would say everything is fine and nothing is wrong with me. My Hb is 11 the last time I checked. I am a 17 year old female btw

Hello Dear. The cause of low blood pressure isn't always clear. In most of the cases there may not be any cause and just an incidental finding, just like your case where everything is fine. Just for your knowledge i will tell you few conditions associated with low blood pressure. They are:

1. Hormonal problems such as an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), diabetes, or low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
2. Some over-the-counter medications
3. Some prescription medicines such as for high blood pressure, depression or Parkinson’s disease
4. Heart failure
5. Heart arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms)
6. Widening, or dilation, of the blood vessels
7. Heat exhaustion or heat stroke
8. Liver disease
9. Pregnancy

Some of the tips for you to follow-
1. Drink lots of water, fruit juice, fluids. Keep yourself adequately hydrated
2. Drink lime juice with salt added to it daily. salt will increase blood pressure
3. Do regular exercise for atleast half an hour per day, which will cause adrenal activation and maintainance of blood pressure.

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
