Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
One of the important aspects of treatment of diarrhea is holding off solids till there is a 4 hour window with no symptoms.
Right now, the colon/intestines are inflamed and they cannot absorb solid food, the use of solid foods can actually make it worse. Liquid food/soups etcetera can be used for now.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
