Hello Dr. R., thank you for your time. I was recently diagnosed with phorrosis of the/my liver. I was informed i had the hep c virus over 15 years ago and was told it was dormant. Now i believe this was wrongly diagnosed. however, my question is, can i get my liver to rejuvenate? (of course with diet changes etc) Im very curious if this is the end of theline, or do i stand a chance fighting to get healthier liver to function properly?
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Well, if there is fibrosis then this is reversible disorder, but in case of cirrhosis this isirreversible. In every case it is improtant to regulate body mass and diet to slow down liver failure progression. You need to eat more vegetables and avoid spicy, fried and carbs. You should not drink nor smoke. Also, you can take Sylimarin to protect liver cells.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
