How Can Lichen Planus Be Treated?

I have been diagnosed with Lichen Planus. None of the creams/ointments that various Dermatologists have given me have helped. A friend with the same diagnosis recommended Triamcinolon 0.1% CRE FOURGERA. I am going to talk to my doctor on Monday. (office visit) Is this something I should mention?

Hi,

Triamcinolone is a steroids cream. Steroids are used to treat lichen planus and are quite effective.

However, as you said you already have been given cream and I am sure you would have been given steroids previously.

So you can discuss with your doctor as sometimes stronger steroids may be needed or other immunosuppressive drugs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
