Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got kicked in the front of my leg (on the bone part) today and now it s swollen and beginning to bruise. Is there anyway that this can heal quickly?! I have a very important event coming up and I don t want to walk in there with a huge bruise on my leg. Thanks :)
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got injury to your shin and you got hematoma. If you has no fever, then no need to worry much. Hematoma gradually resolved by itself . Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it. If you have pain you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen .You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
