How Can Knee Pain Be Treated?

my husband is having a knee pain since yesterday and having a hard time walking. we have been putting some cold compress on even put a Salompas with lanokin on it last night but he is still complaining about the pain. He said it feel that it is tearing his skin. Thank you very much if you can help me ease his pain.

I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of severe knee joint pain is more likely in your husband's case.
So give him painkiller like ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
He should definitely consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination, x ray and MRI of knee joint to identify the cause of pain.
