How Can Itchy Body Rashes Be Treated?

About 5 days ago I started taking Theraflu Express Max cold and flu for my cold. After about 3 doses I noticed I was getting a rash so I stopped taking it. Well the rash still has not gone away. Very itchy, mostly around my trunk of my body. Raised skin and bumps. Also if I get too hot it expels a sticky sweat.

I can understand your concerns. Theraflu is a good medicine having minimum side effects. Some people may be more sensitive (hypersensitive) to this drugs and may suffer side effects.

Coming to your case, rash with itching is a very rare complication of theraflu. Most probably rashes are not due to theraflu. Other causes include:
1. miliaria (deep heat rash)
2. menopause,
3. hyperthyroidism,
4. hypoglycemia,
5. withdrawal from certain narcotics

By carefully examining the nature of your rash, the most like cause may be miliaria. Check for the other factors and come to conclusion. If miliaria is confirmed, follow as below:
1. avoid heat and humidity.
2. Avoid excess sweating.
3. prefer cool bath or shower bath
4. Moisturizer creams may cool and soothe the skin. (calamine)
5. Wear loose cotton clothing
6. Using an antibacterial soap
7. Take oral antibiotics and vit-A supplements

Hope you will understand the consequences and act accordingly.
