How Can Itching On The Palms Of The Hand Be Treated?

Hi it has been 5 days since my wife was diagnosed with dengue. We have had a blood test done twice and her platelet count is at the 150,000 mark. The doctor has prescribed 650mg paracetamol along with multivitamin and vitamin c tablets. She has now developed an itch (without rash) and it is particularly worrying on the palms of the hand and also her feet. Is there anything to reduce or calm the itching?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi...Thanks for considering Ask a doctor service...
I understand your worries...
I suggest to apply Aloe vera cream for your wife if itching persist then take T.Cetirizine BD(twice daily after food) for 3 days...
Consult your physician if symptoms persist longer...
Hope your doubts are cleared
Take care
