How Can Itching On The Cheek And Neck Be Treated?

I think I may have suffered an insect bite in my home. Sever itching began. I attempted to treat this with ice packs to some relief. Today I cleaned the area (under my left ear..extending into my cheek and neck then with vinegar and now ammonia. what is you opinion for healing the situation. Thank you.

Thanks for the query..

Insect bite can cause a localised allergic reaction to the chemical present in the sting and it commonly manifest as itching and at times hives or bumps..

Do not worry as it can take around 4-5 days to resolve..

I would suggest you to take anti allergics like Leocetrizine to reduce the itching and along with it you ca apply Benadyl gel/ointment over the bite site..

You can continue doing cool compresses to relieve the itching..
Avoid scratching vigorously as it can tear the skin and cause infection..

If you find it infected you can apply antiseptic ointment to reduce infection..
