How Can Itching And Soreness In The Anus Be Treated?

I have a very itchy sore anus the skin is damaged from overuse of cortisone creams. I have a deep cut with white sort of scar tissue over it. I was wondering if you suggest any healing remedies to stop the itch as well? I use an antifungal cream - which can ease things a bit. I don t use soap. Oh and could I use a mouth gel called Bonjela (for teething and mouth ulcers) on the area? Seeing as it s similar skin?

Hello,

Overuse of corticosteroids on the skin causes thinning of it. As you described deep cut, that is suggestive of fissures, which requires surgical treatment.

If you don't have any discharge from there, please don't use any of the remedies locally. Just take tablet Levocetrizine twelve hourly for itching. Consult surgeon as early as possible to rule out causes other than fissures. Get surgical treatment as soon as possible to prevent further complications.
