How Can Irregular Periods Be Treated?

I m a 20 years old female. I ve been getting my periods regularly since I was in 6th grade. But as I grew up, my periods started coming late just a month or two before final exams. Currently, I m facing the same problem. My date was 10th Feb, but today is 17th Feb. I ve my final exams on 7th April and I m really stressed out for it as well as various other competitive exams that I ll have to appear for. Please suggest why is this happening?

Hi, I think it is happening because of the stress. But to rule out any other cause, do a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries. If anything is abnormal, it can be treated. If everything is fine, you can take some hormones to regularise the periods. Consult a gynecologist.
