How Can Inflammatory Breast Cancer Be Treated?

I have stage 2 IBC - one mass slightly over 1 cm and one lymph node. I m under going chemo prior to a lumpectomy. if chemo is supposed to kill all the cancer cells floating around your body - then why is radiation necessary? if radiation is still needed, then dont tell me chemo kills all the cells floating around your body . yes I want to get rid of the cancer. but I dont want unnecessary treatment.

Hello,

Nothing is unnecessary dear . Bothchemo and radio act with each other so that we can get rid of maximum cancerous cells . That is how the regimen works.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
