Hello Doctor, I have been trying to conceive since last 9 months. doctor did a test and told me that I have PCOD. My periods are regular but the duration is like 40 to 45 days. after consulting doctor they gave me prescription to use ovacare forte and siocare syrup. from jan onwards I am using and my periods cycle duration got decreased to 32 days but still i did not conceive. then I changed the doctor and this month they did follicular study and gave me ovaa shield and dydestrogen tablets. so will I get chances to conceive and do I have pcod?

Hi, I think if your ultrasound shows multiple follicles in ovary , more than 12 in number in each, it is a sign of polycystic ovarian syndrome. In pcos, the main problem is absence of ovulation which leads to delayed periods. Ovashield will help in growth of follicles and you can track your ovulation by repeated ultrasound and when follicle is more than 17 to 18 mm, take injection for rupture of follicles. Be in contact with your husband for 2 to 3 days after the injection. Take progesterone for next 2 weeks after rupture is confirmed on ultrasound. Do a urine pregnancy test after that. You can try like that for 3 to 6 cycles. Hope it helps.
