How Can Infertility Be Treated?

Hi doctor, i and my hubby we are trying for baby since last 6 months. he was having low sperm count so my doctor suggested him to go to andrologist bur we could not make it possible. my last period date was 5th may and we had sex almost every day from 17th may till 25th may. last we had sex on 30th may and from 31st may night bleeding started for 2 days, only red blood no clots and blood was fresh till 2nd june and then it stopped and mean while i found that i cant insert my finger in my vagina easily, i think my cervix is elongated and its closed. is there any chances that i am pregnant? i tested yesterday on 3rd june 17 with pregnancy kit but test was negative.

Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Based on your query and the fact that you got your period when you are supposed to, I would say that you are not pregnant this cycle if you tested after your period was normally due.

If you tested earlier, repeat test in a week.
*how old are both of you?
*have you undergone any infertility investigations?
*do either of you have any medical issues or take any medications?
*what is your height and weight?
*do either of you smoke or consume alcohol?

I recommend :
- quit smoking and limit alcohol (if you do)
-get a thorough check up to make sure everything is well.
-see an andrologist. Low sperm count can be transient. Repeated sample testing may show better results.
-use ovulation prediction kits and basal body temperature monitoring to find out most fertile period. (check out fertility friend online).
- have intercourse every alternate day in the middle third of your cycle (for instance, if you have a 30 day cycle, have intercourse between day 10and 20)
-take a folic acid supplement daily.
-exercise, maintain healthy lifestyle and diet.
-most important, do not stress too much. This is counterproductive. Take it easy. Trying to conceive can be difficult and extremely stressful for both of you. Try to have an outlet and enjoy the process.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health and hope you conceive soon.
