How Can I Get Quality Sleep?

I am 68, have had FM since 50 - otherwise slim, eat healthily, active, non-smoker, 1 G&T a day! My main problem is quality sleep. I dream bigtime, sometimes horribly disturbing. I get relief from waking up and realising it is not actually happening. This can happen 2-3 times a night, then I become rundown and this triggers fibromyalgia flares. I take 50mg Zoloft per night to help and my GP does not want me to increase the dose, which I would like to try. What do you think doctor? Regards, Emmus

Zoloft is known to cause vivid dreams. Therefore, you may discuss changing to a different SSRI (selective serotonin uptake inhibitor) such as escitalopram or a different class of antidepressant such as SNRI (serotonin-nonepinephrine reuptake inhibitor). You may discuss with your GP.
I hope this answer helps you.
