How Can I Abort 1 Month Pregnancy ?
Hi Doctor , I want to know something about my pregnancy . This is an unwanted child. Could you please let me know how can I get it aborted? My last period date was 22nd July and I missed it this month. I got the pregnancy test done and found it to be positive. Please help :(

Hello, welcome to HCM. You must first of clear your thoughts along with your husband that you definitely do not want this child and you should also think is the reason valid enough for abortion. In case you both still do not want this child you should visit your gynecologist who would be able to examine you perform abortion accordingly using medicines or other procedures. You should immediately consult an obstetrician. First of all you will need an ultrasound scan to confirm gestational age and location of pregnancy.
If the gestation is less than 8 weeks and if the pregnancy is within the uterus, then drugs are available to abort the fetus. The drugs should be taken strictly under medical supervision as complications are known to occur, where you will need medical attention.
If the gestation exceeds 8 weeks then drugs cannot be used to abort. Hence the emergency that you do not delay and consult the doctor immediately.
