How Can Hernia At The Base Of The Esophagus Be Treated?

my mother-in-law has been in and out of the hospital for the past month-2 months. She has been diagnosed with a hernia at the base of the esophagus. Today she was admitted to the hospital vomiting black vomit. she can t even drink water now without wanting to vomit. In the past she has had severe stomach cramps. She had surgery in November to repair a hernia that was pressing on her intestine. In December she was back in the hospital to have blood clots removed that were external of the intestine by the hernia. She is 84 years old and has been in good health. The family is frustrated that this problem can t seem to be resolved. The hospital can t seem to find the source of the problem we are looking for any suggestions that could help. Thank you
