Hi,

How old is your son? Usually, anxiety is the causative for palpitations in children. Other possibilities like respiratory or systemic Infections or bronchial asthma may also present like this.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. If it is sinus tachycardia or tachycardia due to other Infections may be treated with treating the causative.

Please get it done ECG and echocardiogram then consult your Cardiologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
