How can headache and dizziness be treated?

Thanka, My granddaughter has had a full head headache with dizziness and the feeling of black out for 3 weeks. No pain reliever helps. She had a brain CT w/wo contrast, result was normal. I was told that usually the sinuses are not seen in that kind of CT. No fever, just constant, sometimes throbbing headache. Any suggestions

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It may be best for her to be assessed by a neurologist. There are different reasons for headaches.

One of the most common reasons for severe headaches is migraines and there are different types of migraines as well. A neurologist would be able to determine the exact type present.

I hope this helps.
