How Can Hamstring Injury With Scar And Deformity Be Treated?

I pulled my hamstring last year at the start of my college career and played the entire season on it in pain. At the end of the season I noticed that my hamstring looked and felt deformed. It didn t hurt at all and I played spring ball on it being cautious though because I didn t want it to get re-injured. I came back this fall and didn t baby it at all and I hurt it again. The doctor said that there is a great deal of scar tissue mixed with muscle which is causing the deformity and he said I will more than likely never be able to play again. Is there something I can do to fix it so I can play next season? surgery?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got contracture of hamstrings following playing match even when you was injured . In my opinion it is unusual that sport injury giving so much disability that you will never be playing again.You will be benefited by stretching exercises and physiotherapy.You can be benefited by release of contracture by surgical release if not by exercises.
