Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 74 years old and have hair loss that started about 3 months ago. It is getting very bad and I have always had a very healthy head of hair. I have R/A and take Methotrexate & Humira, which I am sure that it caused me to have Burning Mouth Syndrome with loss of taste buds. I know that it affects my autoimmune system. I take quite a few medications and have had a lot of surgeries. I see my rheumatologist, PCP and pain management doctors on a regular basis. Do you have any advice as far as what I should do or what kind of specialist should I see? Thank you. Sonia Alfonso
hello I am really sure that you are have researched google for your symptoms a way too much. Mam all you might have are side effects of methotrexate which in my opnion you should ask your doctor for help. you might have hairloss either as a side effect which is temporary or due to age which is alopecia. You should calm down on your diagnosis of having burning mouth syndrome which is a really severe disease and book yourself of a dermatologist visit. Dont tamper your drug intake according to your wish its unhealthy for you and everyone. ask your consulting doctor for change or any other symptom. TAKE CARE
