How Can Gynecomastia Be Treated?

I am 19 years old, 6’1 and 190lbs. I exercise daily and am in good shape, roughly 13% body fat. I am just very self concious about the gyno I have in my right nipple that I’ve had for the past 3 years. I know my body is still going through changes and my hormones are still balancing, considering I started puberty late at the age of 15. But I’m now wondering whether I should continue waiting for it to dissapear, or start saving the money to get it surgically removed since I’ve had it for so long and it’s not showing any signs of dissapearing.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Gynaecomastia is nothing but abnormal growth of breast tissues in a male. The only treatment option is surgical excision of unwanted breast tissue.
Many techniques are available and you can opt for conventional surgical removal or recent techniques like liposuction.
Get a hormonal study also as hormonal imbalaces can predispose to gynaecomastia.
Wishing you good health.
Thanks
