How Can Glioblastoma Be Treated?

My husband has glioblastoma, had a brain tumor removed 05/17/17, for the month of august had chemo/radiation, two weeks ago he had an MRI & it showed another tumor growth, they are planning to do another surgery on 09/26/17. He is taking Dexamethasone 3 mg/day for 4 months, he had gained about 12 lbs, his appetite was excellent, but now for 3-4 days he wakes up and has nausea, he says anything he eats tastes sweet, has lost his appetite, last month his platelet count had gone down to 102,000, in 3 weeks watching his diet & eating a lot of kale and lots of greens it went up to 142.000, NOW my question is: what should I do about his loss of appetite?

1. Although he is already under expert supervision, even then keep in mind that
- Radiation exposure is itself a risk factor for further development of Glioblastoma

2. loss of appetite can be due to the pathology itself or due to the advancement of the tumor.

PS. mine opinion is to remain under the regular supervision of your attending doctor.

3. for symptomatic relief from loss of appetite:

- MANAGEMENT
i. Good food rich in proteins with green vegetables.
ii.
. Take 1 glass milk and boil with 4 times water and take with breakfast.
. drink 1 cup juice of ripe tomato for 1 month.
. take 1/2 tsp Amalaki churan/rasayan with 4 tsp honey.
. If getting nausea with oral therapy then;
- Injection neurobion: 2 cc I/M on alternate days or
- I.V. glucose

PS. If no response, ask for investigations like:
. blood for Hb%, S. bilirubin, blood urea
. X- ray chest
. Gastroscopy and ultrasound
