Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. Since I'm unable to examine you directly and also you haven't shared any reports/test, thus for me possible cause could be

i. APD [acid peptic disorder] due to gastritis and since notable points are mentioned:
- pain and vomiting after food.
- loss of weight/weaken, thus could probably be a gastric ulcer.

2. Symptom wise approach, in such case/history, should be;

a. Dietary Regimen

. Take light diet, pea soup, rice gruel, coconut water, vada made from black gram, jaggery with ghevar, regular sleep and adequate rest
. Avoid heavy, spicy, dry food, sour fruits, fish, alcohol, horse gram, late nights, fasting, painkillers, mental tension.
. Mix 4 spoons of pumpkin juice with 1 spoon sugar candy powder and drink for 1 month, or eat radish with sugar candy for 1 month

b. If the pain is not relieved completely, ask for investigations like:
- Gastroscopy
- Barium meal [if gastroscopy is not available]
- Stool examination
- Gastric analysis [if gastroscopy is normal]
- H.Pylori in gastroscopic aspirations, if present advise triple therapy

PS. A gastric ulcer is potentially malignant, so biopsy and follow up with Gastroscopy is very essential.

Dentist Dr. Harry Maheshwari's  Response
Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of gastritis which could be due to viral or bacterial infection, acid reflux or peptic ulcer disease. It could be due to infection by H. Pylori bacteria.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take antacid medicines like ranitidine or pantoprazole. You should take proton pump inhibitors such as ondansetron. You should take oral rehydrating solution. You should exercise daily and avoid intake of outside food. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper examination. You should have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. you should take plenty of fluids. Avoid intake of oily, fried and spicy food. Drink plenty of water. Avoid intake of large food at a time. You should take small meals and frequent meals.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
