Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
over the past weekend I thought I had a gallstone attack. I had not had one for about a year. As I was trying to get rid of them again by doing the apple juice cleansing. When I started drinking the juice I had dark urine like rust color and normal color stools. Since drinking the juice I have no stomach or urinating pain. My urine is normal now but my stools are all white. I seems to be itchy all over now. Is this all related to Gall stones?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You are having recurrent problems related to gallbladder stones. Pruritis and white stools classically denotes obstruction to the common bile duct. This could be due to the stone.
It is important that you consult a gastroenterologist who would do necessary blood investigations, and also abdominal CT scan, upper GI endoscopy and other investigations if required.
The gastroenterologist will diagnose the exact condition and advise you on the surgical management if this is required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ajit Kumar Varma
