How Can Frequent Urination Be Treated?

I had a UTI and I just finished a 7 day prescription of antibiotics. I stil have the symptoms of urgent frequent desire to pee with only very small amounts of urine. My doctor gave me a prescription with refills. Do I need to take another 7 days of the medicine?

Hello dear. Welcome to Healthcaremagic. I think you should consider doing a urine sample a week after finishing first antibiotic treatment. If the infection persists you will have to continue an antibiotic treatment. The type of antibiotic that will you take will come out from an antibiograma of the urine.
Meanwhile keep drinking fluid and especially cranberry tea helps.
Take care.
Hope my answer was helpful, if yes, vote helpful.
Regards, Dr Olgeta Xhufka ( general and family physician ).
