How Can Foot Pain Be Treated?

Hello, I am experiencing some very bad pain in my left foot. The pain is mostly along the outer edge of the foot, to the heel and then radiates into the middle of the foot to about the 3rd metatarsal. The feeling is like a severe foot cramp. However this feeling has been going on for almost 24 hours and is not getting any better. I have tried ice, heat, massage, walking on it, and stretching as well as taking ibuprofen. None of these things are providing any relief. I noticed the injury after I had been playing volleyball and twisted my right ankle. While that ankle is sore, it is nothing compared to the pain in my left foot that I do not remember injuring in anyway. Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

It might be due to plantar fasciitis. As of now, you can take analgesics like acetaminophen or diclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist, better to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
