How Can Food Stuck In The Wind Pipe Be Removed?

Hello,
I was eating some cereal last night and a piece of it went down my wind pipe. I tried coughing it up but everytime I do it blocks my airway and I cant breathe. I feel it trying to come up and everytime I try to swallow it goes back down the wrong pipe. I can breathe fine, but the food is still stuck. what should I do next?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

You may try Heimlich manoeuvre with your colleague to dislodge the foreign body. If not successful, then please consult your pulmonologist, he will do bronchoscopy and remove it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
