How Can Fibromyalgia And Arthritis Be Treated?

Yes, I have fibromyalgia and arthritis and a suppressed immune system. I was coping well. I move in May to a basement apartment that I didn t realize until after I moved in, was quite damp and musty. Almost since day 1 of living there I have developed the following: scratchy throat, cough, headaches, night chills, extreme nausea, diaherra and some vomiting. My taste buds are way off and I feel sick like I have the flu all the time. I also developed aching in my diaphragm and back on both sides of my spine. I have a great NP who has taken urine (I had a high protein but no blood), stool and blood - both normal. My pulse and BP are good. Most of my symptoms can fall under the above auto immune illnesses but they come and go depending on weather, activity etc... These New symptoms are all the time. Could it be a mold/asbestos issue? I left here and house sat for 2 weeks, during that time my symptoms eased or went away completely. I have been home now for 3 days and I am sick again. The nausea was so bad I had to take gravol to get out of bed and then I would have horrible diarrhea and be sick. I have been placed on a medication given to expectant moms who have extreme moring sickness so I can eat.

Hi,

In general, treatments for fibromyalgia and arthritis include both medication and self-care. The emphasis is on minimizing symptoms and improving general health. One single treatment doesn't work for all symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
