How Can Fever Along With Cough And Diarrhea Be Treated?

My 4 year old grandson has the flue. Fever coughing diarrhea for three days. Today he is eating no fever and seems to be better but his calf muscles are sore. So sore he is not walking as much. He was on some Tylenol and some ibuprofen the last 3 days. Is this still the virus?

Flue can last for several days.
Some advices that I can give to you are:     
-Continue with ibuprofen 400 mg for fever
-drink liquids
-rest
-use a humidifier at home
-use nasal sprays for relief
