How Can Facial Injuries Be Treated?

I had a bicycle accident 4-1/2 months ago, with injurieis mostly to my face. I had no other body surface bruising other than my face. I do have internal bruises that have not lessened painwise in specific areas of my trunk and thigh. They are as poignant as they were immediately after the accident. No external bruising with this. Should I continue to hope they will eventually lessen? YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

As it is now 4 and half months so by now the bruising and pain must have subsided. As it is still present you should immediately consult an Emergency room or a Physician and get evaluated. A clinical examination and an x ray should be done to rule out the exact cause. As far as facial injuries are concerned they also need to be checked with an x ray or MRI Scan. For now you can apply analgesic topical ointment over the painful area and take pain reliever and muscle relaxant combination. Do cool compresses over the bruised or painful area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
