How Can Eye Irritation With A Lump Be Treated?

Hello. I noticed that my 5 month old baby s left eye is slightly irritated. I noticed it is red (it looks like you can see little veins) in one area. I also saw a yellow bump near that area. He doesn t seem to be in any pain or rubbing it more then normal. What is it? What caused it? What should I do? Thank you for your help!
