How Can Excessive Vaginal Discharge Be Treated?

Hi, I was contacted by Toronto sexual health and told my name was given as a contact for chlamydia. I went to the doctor and was given 4 pills to take all at once. I now find that the discharge and odour does not stop. Its been a few days since I ve taken the medication and it might be getting worse. What do i do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms could be due to vaginal infection like chymadia. I would suggest to consult gynecologist and undergo vaginal swab test, STD screening test to confirm cause. Following treatment will help you.

Oral azithromycinVaginal suppository of clingen and lactobacillus. Wash vagina with warm salted water and then apply apple cidar vineagar. Apply vagisil cream. Wear pure cotton loose inner and maintain hygiene by using V vaginal plus wash. Avoid douching, chemical cosmetics and chemical soap. Eat healthy diet, drink plenty of water.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
