How Can Excessive Perspiration After Recovering From A Kidney Failure Be Managed?

Since recovering from kidney failure last year, I have suffered sudden, unexplained, and extremely distressing perspiration, concentrated mainly about the head, to a certain extent, the chest, but no part of the body has escaped. This is making my life an absolute misery, especially as my primary profession is symphonic orchestra conducting when it is not unheard of to be blinded by sweat pouring down the forehead. Many years ago, I was prescribed DriClor for the underarms; this performed excellently. If you can point me in the right direction, I would be extremely grateful.

Hi,

Antiperspirants maybe not useful for treating in kidney failure. It may aggravate the problem. Recovered from kidney failure patients perspire due to

1. electrolyte imbalance.
2. Anaemia.
3. hyperuricemia.
4. Associated Infections in the body like urinary or respiratory problems.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
