How Can Erectile Dysfunction Be Treated While Dealing With Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Kidney Disease And Bipolar Disorder?

I am 63 years old and have had Type II Diabetes since my mid 40 s. I have a small dark spot of muscle (4%) on my heart that is not in a bad location. I suffered a stroke 2.5 years ago which affected my balance. Diabetic neuropathy in both feet, a DVT and Charcot Syndrome of the left side has caused me to stagger badly. I take several medications to control: diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, Type II kidney disease, pain, ADHD and bipolar-disorder. My labs look good now except for low sodium that I take another med for. I have changed many bad habits and improved my diet; I have gotten off the couch and started to walk again. I am up to 9 miles a week and feel much better. I am working up to my old aerobics program goal of 16 mile per week, in 4, 4 mile sessions. If I do well, I ll add another 4 miles per week. I have had ED for 10 years. Viagra stopped working well after 2-3 years. I ve also been diagnosed with a benign urinary obstruction that slows urine flow. Now to my question: with this background, what can I do to try to offset the ED? I have read that there is a self-administered injection for the penis that works well. That solution doesn t bother me other than what the cost may be. Other than kicking me in the behind for letting myself slide so low, what do you think?

Hi,

Besides Viagra there are several therapy for ED.

If medications aren't effective or appropriate in your case, your doctor might recommend a different treatment. Other treatments include:
Penis pumps: A penis pump (vacuum erection device) is a hollow tube with a hand-powered or battery-powered pump. The tube is placed over your penis, and then the pump is used to suck out the air inside the tube. This creates a vacuum that pulls blood into your penis.

Penile implants: This treatment involves surgically placing devices into both sides of the penis. These implants consist of either inflatable or malleable (bendable) rods. Inflatable devices allow you to control when and how long you have an erection. The malleable rods keep your penis firm but bendable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
