How Can Endometrial Cancer Be Diagnosed?

I am 62 years old. I havn t had a period for 22 years. I recently started to bleed for 1 day now it is just alot of clots. I went to the ER and the doctor said, the ultrasound showed the endometrium is thicker than it should be. He said he was concerned it my be cancer. The clinic that he told me to call said they couldn t see me until the 7th of dec. Should I wait? My sister died 3 years ago from cancer that started in her intestine.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Endometrial cancer can be confirmed by undergoing endometrial biopsy followed by histopathological examination.
You can wait till your doctor is available to undergo the process.
Based on histopathological findings further management would depend upon.
Hope the information provided helps.
Wish you good health.
