How Can Elevated Liver Enzymes Be Treated?

I was just had an ultrasound after being tested for high level of liver enzymes. I wanted to know if a cleansing is a good idea? I am healthy with no other health problems. I am 60 years old. What is your opinion on the product cleansecap and then a recovery colon cleaner's from coconut oil?

1. Mild elevation of liver enzymes are normal [although liver produces enzymes in response to injury/infection] but since unable to know the values of liver enzymes cannot say about the degree of pathology [if any]

2. For prophylaxis: check the values in consultation with your attending doctor or Hepatologist [since if increasing there could be an ongoing hepatocellular injury like superadded infection can cause liver dysfunction]

PS. keep a note that although these tests are sensitive but very nonspecific and serve to detect liver disease rather than quantitative liver function so their high values don't signify a serious complication most of the time, it is the underlying pathophysiological process which needs to be diagnosed and managed.

3. So if they are constantly on the higher side, check with a Hepatologist and/or get a second opinion and go with Ultrasound, Endoscopy, serum albumin, PT [prothrombin time] and INR.

PS. since the said products mentioned by you are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease thus make sure to choose them only after having proper examination with your physician
