How Can Elevated Blood Pressure Be Managed?

my blood pressure increases to the moderate hypertensive range & remains in that range (no prior problems with blood pressure). my heart rate increases to 110+ & the skin on my face, neck, chest & shoulder area gets very hot with no sweating. I become anxious, mouth is dry & hands become sweaty & clammy, knees weak & have feeling of needing to urinate. this increase in heart rate comes in waves maybe once per hour or so & then decreases some. This episode of increases in BP & Pulse happened twice (7 weeks apart), both times starting about 2 hours after I had laid down for sleep. All slowly returns to normal by the next day or so.

From the given description it seems that you are having a sleep panic attack. Panic attacks are always due to underlying anxiety disorder. In any case, I suggest you to consult a physician for a check up.
